       Welcome to the Sigma European Regional committee page, where 12 chapters within European region of Sigma come together to strengthen their networking, collaboration and activities for their members in Europe.

Congratulations to our 3 Sigma European Chapters , Sigma Capitulo Phi Xi, Portugal, Phi Mu chapter, England and Omega Epsilon at Large, Ireland for being awarded the Showcase of Regional Excellence (SRE) 2019-2021. Stellar work has been undertake during the biennium from these chapter to achieve this recognition. Under the guidance of Presidents Lurdes Lomba, Portugal, Liz Westcott, England & Gerardina Harnett, Ireland and their respective board members & chapter members
The Purpose of the Showcase of Regional Excellence (SRE) is designed to recognize the good work of chapters in relation to the Presidential Call to Action.

The Chapter Key Award, established in 1991, honors Sigma chapters that excel in chapter-related activities such as:  

  • Membership recruitment and retention
  • Publicity and programming
  • Professional and leadership development
  • Local, national, and international collaboration Congratulations to Phi Mu chapter, England and RhoChi at Large Chapter, the Netherlands for recieving the Chapter Key Award for the Biennium 2019-2021.
During the Sigma Biennial Convention in November 2021 the Sigma European Regional committee hosted  and presented on the topic of  Honor the Past, Remember the Present, Create the Future: Celebrating sustainability and cultural literacy across European Nurses and Midwives.
